TURDUCKEN
Turduckens - An Hebert's Specialty! A Turducken is a
delicately deboned turkey that is stuffed with boneless
duck and chicken. All you have to do is put it in the
oven. You are sure to have a meal that will impress even
the best gourmet. A delicious cornbread dressing and
pork stuffing is then added to separate each poultry.
Special seasonings are sprinkled over and into the
entire product. According to National Geographic, the turducken
was invented in 1985, by brothers Sammy and Junior
Hebert at their family meat market in Maurice, La. The
tradition has grown and now each year, the Hebert stores
(one in Maurice, three in Houston and one in Tulsa,
Okla.) sell over 10,000 turduckens. The Turducken is vacuum sealed forcing
the seasonings into the product enhancing flavors and
freshness. If you want to serve these unique holiday
birds, don't delay in ordering. Phone calls to
local meat markets revealed that turducken is gaining in
popularity as a Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter
Entree. If you like our Turducken try our new
